7 Forces Driving America Toward Civil War
Post Date: 2018-04-25 10:41:23 by Tooconservative
I was interviewed by a mainstream media reporter yesterday. I thought he wanted to talk tech issues, but we actually spent almost the entire conversation discussing the feeling that many conservatives have that America has gone off the tracks and is headed toward dissolution or alternately, a civil war one day. Obviously, this would be a terrible thing and ironically, twenty years ago, it would have been laughable. Today, the joke isn’t so funny because we are a deeply unhealthy society with a dysfunctional government and for all our money, success and storied history, we seem to be on an increasingly dangerous trajectory. 1) A Post-Constitutional Era: Liberals don’t believe ...

The Sequel on The Conservative Cave on 22 Apr 2018
Post Date: 2018-04-22 11:08:04 by sneakypete
The original post below in parentheses was Posted by Movie bugg-The Sequel on The Conservative Cave on 22 Apr 2018 "The race card is the Democrats' ace in the hole. If anyone makes any kind of criticism of any of their policies, they just openly accuse that person of racism to try and end the discussion. "O Some vote Republican because it's the party of “patriotism” and “real Americans.” " Well, considering that the Left is known for openly hating America and portraying it as an evil racist redneck nation, that's not surprising. Heck, Obama hated America so much that one of his first presidential actions was his infamous "Apology ...

After 33 years, I have solved the crime of the ceAntury
Post Date: 2018-04-16 18:54:16 by interpreter
Well I want you guys to know that I write about a lot of stuff besides the Bible. After 33 years of research I have finally solved the crime of the century (at least in my neck of the woods). Although I am 99.9 % certain that I know who the psycho who committed the Calder Road Murders is, I can't actually say "It was" and have instead substituted "Was it" for now. But feel free to read that anyway you want to. Before publishing this, let me add that at one time I, being her boyfriend, was the prime suspect, and was even # 1 on Houston's Most Wanted. Without further ado, here is my answer to the League City police arresting me and Crime Stoppers and ABC putting ...

Want To Stop Mass Killings? Start Punishing Those Who Failed To Stop Them
Post Date: 2018-04-12 12:39:28 by Deckard
While Parkland has kicked the gun control debate up into high gear, it wasn’t the gun’s fault. We all know this. We also know that there were countless failures along the way that permitted a 19-year-old with a history of being troubled to purchase a firearm and shoot up his former school. As Glenn Reynolds (better known to some as Instapundit) notes, if we want to be serious about stopping mass shootings, law enforcement failures need to start being punished [shooters’ names redacted]. Law enforcement keeps failing, and people keep dying.  Where are the consequences? Where is the accountability?Despite receiving a warning directly from the Russian government, the ...

The Time for a Massive Anti-War Movement is Now
Post Date: 2018-04-11 05:46:42 by Deckard
An alleged new ‘chemical incident’ in Syria reminds of a similar series of events we saw last year. We are told to believe that each time the U.S. pulls back from the war on Syria the Syrian government is responding with a ‘chemical attack’ that pulls the U.S. back in. – From Moon of Alabama article: Syria – Timelines Of ‘Gas Attacks’ Follow A Similar Scheme If you’re genuinely against U.S. wars for profit, power and empire the current moment represents our best opportunity to push back aggressively and launch a real grassroots anti-war movement. The entrenched forces who’ll stop at nothing to get their war with Iran and Russia ...

I have an Apple 5S. I have had it probably 4 or 5 years(not really sure how long). I also bought an Ipad soon after. They were pretty good until last summer when I got "that" update and they have become energy hogs. They will not accept some programs or devices. I have lost my Bluetooth to my Ipad. I have a slip on battery backup for my phone because I use it soo much. I never make throw the day and sometimes I have to charge it up 3 times to make it. With the slip on battery I can just push a button and its start charging my phone(really would like one for my Ipad too) instead of leaving it in my truck or office which I tend to forget. Well just installed another update last ...

What’s Missing – and Why!
Post Date: 2018-04-03 09:33:51 by Deckard
New cars have many features old cars never had – LCD touchscreens and WiFi, for instance. But new cars are missing some things, too. Maybe you remember – and wonder why?Bumpers that could take a bump – Until about the early-mid 1990s, most cars still had external bumpers designed to be . . . bumped. They were made of steel and so didn’t easily tear, like today’s plastic bumper covers do – leading to very expensive repairs, usually involving the replacement of the torn bumper cover and then repainting it.  So, why? Environmental regs made chrome-plating steel bumpers expensive – so they were replaced with cheap plastic bumper covers painted body ...

Will Stephon Clark’s Killing by Police Finally Force Open California Misconduct Investigations?
Post Date: 2018-03-31 13:37:37 by Deckard
Stephon Clark was shot eight times in the back and side by the Sacramento police officers who chased him into his own backyard, according to a private autopsy ordered by his family and released today. This information will most certainly complicate the claims made by the police. When the officers shot Clark on March 18 while investigating a 911 call about vehicle break-ins, it was because he "turned and advanced towards the officers while holding an object which was extended in front of him," the police have said. After the shooting, the police discovered that Clark, 22, did not have a gun or any weapon. He was holding a cellphone. The autopsy report released today questions ...

20 Questions You’re Not Supposed to Ask in 2018 America
Post Date: 2018-03-31 11:38:01 by Tooconservative
As politics has become more tribal and geared toward demonization instead of debate, it’s amazing how many important questions don’t seem to be asked any more. Instead of discussing issues rationally, people are stuck in little boxes based on where they fall on an issue. Whatever happened to actually assuming that there are two potentially legitimate sides to a debate and hashing them out based upon which one makes more sense? Of course, to do that, you’ve got to get beyond political correctness to ask the basic questions -- questions that are deemed racist, sexist, fascistic, etc., etc., as part of an effort to shut down necessary conversations. At the end of the day, if ...

Yes, white ‘privilege’ is still the problem
Post Date: 2018-03-30 13:13:35 by misterwhite
People are uncomfortable with the term “privileged.” Several readers took offense recently when I differentiated between privileged youths and underprivileged youths in a column about the March for Our Lives. “Categorizing and generalizing of this type are just veiled forms of discrimination and/or racism,” one man wrote. I’d like to take this opportunity to set the record straight. If you are a white person in America, you were born privileged. That’s just a fact. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s not anybody’s fault. There’s no need to get defensive about it. The best thing to do is just acknowledge it. Being privileged does not ...

On the Horrors of Masculinity and Maleness
Post Date: 2018-03-29 09:41:53 by Deckard
Yesterday, my husband and I drove along a road in the cold dampness and pouring rain, and while I was driving, he saw a 50-ish gentleman, working for the local power company, up in a bucket working on the lines. Our conversation, given our penchant for making fun of cultural Marxist bylaws, was predictable. Hubby: What a sh***y day to be up there in a bucket in this cold, crappy rain, working on high-voltage lines. Me: But that’s white male privilege, right there. I find this kind of toxic masculinity to be so appalling. Meanwhile, the uninformed, hate-filled, brush-cut Lesbian Marxist with the Cuban flag on her tattered Army jacket, who rails against heterosexual, white men peacefully ...

“Trump slept with me”
Post Date: 2018-03-23 08:07:18 by Deckard
Guest post via Chateau Heartiste “George Washington slept here” is a pretty common plaque found at or near historical sites throughout colonial America. As his legend grew, American households which hosted the Great Man for the night were proud to publicly say so, even if his presence in their humble abodes was apocryphal. Likewise, hot sluts who hosted today’s Great Man — President Donald Trump — in their vaginas are proud to publicly say so, and will go to any lengths to be allowed to preen that their vajeen was a canteen for Trump’s alpha cream. How many hsmv women has Trump pumped? Trump apparently boffed the entire back catalog of Playboy centerfolds. ...

A Libertarian Lexicon
Post Date: 2018-03-23 07:42:19 by Deckard
Well, an EPautos Libertarian Lexicon!I get asked frequently about the meaning of some commonly used terms, known to EPautos regulars but less well-known to people new to this corner of the Libertarian universe. These form the core lingua franca of the dialogue here, but much more important, they serve as a convenient shorthand for conveying certain concepts easily and efficiently – without the need to go into a long explanation. Ideally, they will become anti-authoritarian/pro-liberty memes.Help spread the word!* Clover –The root cause of every affront to liberty. The spoonful of shit that ruins a gallon of ice cream. Did Putin Order the Salisbury Hit?
Post Date: 2018-03-20 11:01:19 by A K A Stone
Britain has yet to identify the assassin who tried to murder the double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in Salisbury, England. But Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson knows who ordered the hit. "We think it overwhelmingly likely that it was (Russian President Vladimir Putin's) decision to direct the use of a nerve agent on the streets of the U.K." "Unforgivable," says Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov of the charge, which also defies "common sense." On Sunday, Putin echoed Peskov: "It is just sheer nonsense, complete rubbish, to think that anyone in Russia could do anything like that in the run-up to the presidential election and the World ...

How do civil wars happen?
Post Date: 2018-03-20 07:40:54 by IbJensen
This was sent to me by a friend who spent 40 years under Communist rule - I agree with every word below - we are in a Civil War and it was declared by the left who continue to "resist" everything President Trump does and will not accept his legitimate election. That's what the whole fake Russian collusion non-issue and the Mueller probe by lawyers friendly to the Clintons aided by a politically motivated FBI and intel community is all about e.g. trying to find something impeachable (which is not there) so the left just pays people to make stuff up and cover for the real deep state criminals like Obama, Comey, the Clintons, Lynch, Holder and a host of others. RAB Two or ...

Sad Truth
Post Date: 2018-03-20 07:34:04 by IbJensen
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Franklin Graham was speaking at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, when he said America will not come back. He wrote: "The American dream ended on November 6th, 2012. The second term of Barack Obama has been the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest republic in the history of mankind. A coalition of blacks, Latinos, feminists, gays, government workers, union members, environmental extremists, the media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the ...

Deciding To Die (Gun Confiscation)
Post Date: 2018-03-19 09:26:57 by Deckard
We all know what the “extreme risk protection orders” will degenerate into. With the “government” determined to grab any gun they can, they’re going to use any excuse, real or fabricated, to raid the homes of patriots and seize their weapons. Yes, a lot of cops will die in this process, but they’re just expendable, and replaceable pawns that need to be sacrificed for the communists’ plans to proceed. Their hiring standards will decline as many cops quit, and every real American refuses the job. They may resort to pinning a badge on any Mexican who’s eager to kill a few gringos, but the disarmament process will continue. The war has arrived.  ...

Cars That Parent Us
Post Date: 2018-03-19 05:41:15 by Deckard
One of the reasons for liking old cars is they don’t try to parent you. The new stuff won’t quit trying to.The 2018 VW Golf GTI I am reviewing this week, for instance. When you put the transmission in Reverse, the radio’s volume’s is peremptorily turned down – apparently because someone decided it wasn’t saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafe to back up while listening to the radio. One can almost see the liver-spotted hand of your mother-in-law adjusting the volume control knob. Many new cars have this “feature” – not just new VWs.It’s incredibly obnoxious. More so because it’s not your mother-in-law and you can’t slap her liver-spotted ...

Stop, Hillary — just stop (No! Don't. She's Fun To Watch)
Post Date: 2018-03-16 11:32:57 by IbJensen
Hillary Clinton still can’t face “What Happened,” and it’s driving Democrats crazy. The latest: her remarks in Mumbai, India. She bragged of winning “diverse, dynamic” coastal states while accusing Trump supporters of “looking backwards,” opposing rights for blacks and women and hampering Indian-American success. Hmm: As National Review’s Jim Geraghty noted, two red states she lost have elected Indian-American governors: Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal and South Carolina’s Nikki Haley. Worse, she claimed many women only voted for Donald Trump because of “ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, ...

Neocon Specter of John Bolton Looms over Trump White House
Post Date: 2018-03-15 09:25:42 by Deckard
There have been multiple reports that President Donald Trump is unhappy with his National Security Adviser, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster. As rumors increased about a McMaster departure so, too, did speculation that George W. Bush’s never-confirmed ambassador to the United Nations, the arch-neoconservative John Bolton, might be named as McMaster’s replacement. Bolton has reportedly been seen at the White House on several occasions briefing Trump and other high-level officials.John Bolton as National Security Adviser, with Nikki Haley in Bolton’s old job at the U.N. and fundamentalist Christian dominionist Mike Pompeo moving from CIA director to replace Rex Tillerson as Secretary of ...

Say No to “Hardening” the Schools with Zero Tolerance Policies and Gun-Toting Cops
Post Date: 2018-03-15 09:21:54 by Deckard
“Every day in communities across the United States, children and adolescents spend the majority of their waking hours in schools that have increasingly come to resemble places of detention more than places of learning. From metal detectors to drug tests, from increased policing to all-seeing electronic surveillance, the public schools of the twenty-first century reflect a society that has become fixated on crime, security and violence.”—Investigative journalist Annette Fuentes Just what we don’t need: more gun-toting, taser-wielding cops in government-run schools that bear an uncomfortable resemblance to prisons. Microcosms of the police state, America’s public ...

Tariffs Are Not the Answer [Full Thread]
Post Date: 2018-03-13 09:06:10 by Deckard
President Trump’s planned 25 percent tariff on steel imports and 10 percent tariff on aluminum imports may provide a temporary boost for those industries, but the tariffs will do tremendous long-term damage to the American and global economies. Tariffs raise the price of, and reduce demand for, imported goods. Tariffs ensure the preferences of politicians, instead of the preferences of consumers, determine how resources are allocated. This reduces economic efficiency and living standards. Some justify these economic inefficiencies as being worth it to save American jobs. This ignores how tariffs increase costs of production for industries reliant on imported materials to produce their ...

America is Disneyland
Post Date: 2018-03-12 09:16:41 by Deckard
Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth! Millions of families visit the theme park every year to enjoy the magical place of rides, spectacular shows and cheerful cartoon figures. Everything is clean, perfect and joyful. Unless … you realize that Cinderella might actually be homeless. That’s right, 10% of Disneyland’s employees are actually homeless, many more are on food stamps, and 75% struggle to make ends meet. Does this ring familiar? Think of America. Behind the façade of being the greatest country on Earth with the largest GDP and the wealthiest billionaires, there are tens of millions of Americans who are left behind just like Disney’s ...

Sen. Rand Paul: Bring home our troops and, yes, throw a parade
Post Date: 2018-03-10 16:39:11 by hondo68
A military parade in the nation’s capital? The last military parade in Washington was in 1991, after our victory in the first Iraq War.Though the martial image of high-stepping soldiers is not one I tend to associate with our nation’s Founders’ distrust of a standing Army, I’m not against a victory celebration. So I propose we declare victory in Afghanistan, bring home our 14,000 troops and hold a victory parade. We defeated the enemy in Afghanistan. We killed or captured the terrorists who planned, plotted, or aided in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. We killed the ringleader, Usama bin Laden. We disrupted the terrorists’ camps where they plotted and ...
