Trump or Hillary, they're ready for the chaos. In fact, business has never been better. WHITE PINE, Tenn.As Lucas Cameron sees it, theres no way this election can end well. Trump will win the popular vote by a landslide, and then the Electoral College will give it to Clinton, he told me as his wife, Nikki, drove us through the rolling mountains of northeast Tennessee. Their home-schooled 12-year-old son, Jonathon, sat in the back, sipping on a McDonalds drink, placidly gazing out the window as his father laid out some fairly terrifying scenarios. By spring, well be in a proxy war with Russia and going at it hard with Iran, Lucas said. ...

Post Date: 2016-09-14 10:13:55 by Willie Green
A US politician who voted to overturn universal helmet laws has died in a motorcycle crash. Michigan state lawmaker Peter Pettalia was killed in a collision with a pick-up truck which turned left into his lane on a motorway on Monday. He was wearing head protection at the time. Republican Mr Pettalia, a well-known advocate for motorcyclists rights, was instrumental in repealing universal helmet laws in Michigan in 2012. He successfully voted to overturn the legal requirement for all motorcycle riders over the age of 20 to wear helmets. Michigan is now one of 28 states where motorcyclists do not have to wear helmets. Mr Pettalia chaired the House Committee on Transportation and ...
Best way I've found yet to deal with snake problems!!
Post Date: 2016-08-29 14:22:06 by Stoner
I already had two of these very common minnow traps at home but I stumbled on to one at walmart that was cheap and thought "I bet that would work!" I set it along the wall inside of my coop and 2 days later had a rat snake in it, A couple days later a copperhead and then another, so I dug around till I found the two old traps and set them inside also and today I had two more copperheads, I knew I had snakes but didn't know it was this bad and am really loving the effectiveness of the Minnow/Snake traps, I figured if anyone else hadn't already thought this one up I'd share it and maybe it can help others save a few birds and eggs, Happy hunting and thanks for looking, ...
GOP rep: Gary Johnson can win (there's a pent-up demand)
Post Date: 2016-08-12 13:20:21 by hondo68
Moriah Ratner Scott Rigell (R-Va.) says he thinks Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson can win the presidency. "This may surprise you to hear, but I'm ready to defend the proposition that Gov. Johnson can win," Rigell said Wednesday on CNN.Rigell, who is retiring at the end of his term, announced earlier this month that he is backing Johnson and snubbing GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. Rigell noted Wednesday that if Johnson can get enough support in polls to make the debate stage, it could set off a positive chain reaction for him."No one saw Trump winning the nomination, at least early on," he said. "And I believe the same type of unusual, real ...
7 Ways That People Died Trying To Become Immortal
Post Date: 2016-07-28 10:13:08 by Willie Green
Would you risk your life if you thought it might mean extending it? Would you die now if you thought you could be revived at some point in the future? Here are cases of people who went to extremes for immortality or their very own fountains of youth and killed themselves in the process. Contrary to legend, Juan Ponce de Leon didn't really die searching for the Fountain of Youth, but some people have perished in the quest for extended youth and immortality. These aren't people who died in hopes of achieving spiritual immortality in some afterlife, but people who hastened their deaths in the hopes of extending life on Earth. 1. The Self-Mummifying Monks How do you preserve ...

Wall Street Journal Editorial Page: Johnson/Weld Is an ‘Honorable Alternative’ to Trump/Clinton
Post Date: 2016-06-01 23:24:07 by hondo68
Mainstream media sympathy for the Libertarian Party ticket The lead editorial in today's Wall Street Journal is headlined "The Libertarian Alternative: An option for the many Never Trump, Never Clinton voters." After throwing cold water on "the mooted third-party campaign from within the GOP," the Journal makes its case: The Libertarians will offer a policy alternative to both candidates on free trade, and perhaps on taxes if Mr. Trump doesn't clarify his position on taxing the rich. They'll also contrast with the Republican on immigration. Mr. Johnson could help himself by reassuring voters that he isn't one of those libertarians who thinks the only ...
A Better Choice for 2016 (Johnson, McAfee, Petersen)
Post Date: 2016-03-31 19:06:40 by hondo68
The Libertarian Party is selecting a nominee too. Trump! Clinton! Is that all there is? No. Fortunately, we have other choices. A recent poll shows that if the election were held today, 11 percent of Americans would vote for a Libertarian, former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson. That's surprising, since last election Johnson got just 1 percent of the vote. This year, he's doing better, probably because Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton hold the highest percentage of "unfavorable" reactions from voters in more than 30 years. I assume the Libertarian total will go higher, since most poll respondents had no opinion about Johnson. They probably don't know who he is. They ...
DESTINY AND POWER: The American Whitewash of George Herbert Walker Bush
Post Date: 2015-12-23 10:04:28 by Deckard
John Meachams biography of our 41st President George H.W. Bush, DESTINY AND POWER comes in at a whopping 864 pages and a wrist snapping 3.4 pounds and its pure whitewash. It ignores inconvenient historical facts because it is an authorized biography. Meacham seems oblivious that the goofy, patrician manner and weird syntaxes that makes him look like a bumbler hide a man of steely ambition, ruthlessness, entitlement and duplicity. Fortunately, my own book Jeb and the Bush Crime Family will be released Jan 26th and will expose what a tool of the power elite Historian Meachem is and there is a whole genre of books that are authorized profiles ...
Trump Puts Off Israel Trip and Meeting With Benjamin Netanyahu
Post Date: 2015-12-10 16:46:40 by Willie Green
It might have to be next year in Jerusalem. Donald J. Trump announced on Thursday that he was postponing the trip he planned to take to Israel later this month. He said he would instead meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he becomes president. The change of travel plans comes as Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has created an international firestorm with his proposal to bar Muslims from entering the United States.Mr. Trump was planning to meet with Mr. Netanyahu, who often welcomes American presidential candidates, and visit the Temple Mount, the contested Jerusalem holy site that has been a major source of friction between Israel and the Palestinians. ...
Eat A Bug
Post Date: 2015-11-26 10:08:03 by Willie Green
Roughly 80 percent of humans on this planet eat insects, according to Marcel Dicke, professor of entomology at Wageningen University; so when you think about it, its kind of weird that we dont. Plus, Dicke predicts well be eating grubs (or grasshoppers or crickets) for grub some day in the not-too-distant future. If youre ready to embrace a six-legged snack ASAP, there is, naturally, a Kickstarter for that. Livin Farms is making a desktop hive for the appropriately named mealworms. You know when an answer in the FAQ starts with, This is a totally serious project and were real honest people bringing this to life! that its not your ...
Jindal packs it in & turns out the light
Post Date: 2015-11-17 18:23:04 by Willie Green
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) is ending his presidential bid. In an interview on Fox News on Tuesday, Jindal announced that he is suspending his campaign for president. "Ive come to the realization that this is not my time," Jindal told Fox News host Brett Baier. Jindal says that once his term is up, he will go to work at a think tank, crafting conservative policy solutions to major issues. Once a rising star in the party, Jindal has failed to gain traction in the polls. A recent poll of Louisiana voters showed Jindal losing to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in his own state, with Clinton gaining 45 percent of likely voters to Jindal 's 42% support.

Is having root canal fun?
Post Date: 2015-07-21 07:59:53 by Chuck_Wagon
I've never had it done before. My dentist said that I have a cavity in my back left lower molar - (Approximately the size of Lake Superior). So she sent me to this endodontics place. The appointment is today. After the root canal, the dentist will 'install' a crown on the molar. Yesterday I bought Glucerna vanilla shakes for nutrition in case I can't chew anything. This is going to be 'fun', right? Ugg.
Vivint Security door-to-door sales people ignoring 'no soliciting' signs
Post Date: 2015-06-17 11:08:22 by Willie Green
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. - Some residents in Highlands Ranch say aggressive door-to-door sales people are taking their tactics too far. The complaints involve salesmen claiming to be with Vivint Security, a home security monitoring company based out of Utah. CALL7 Investigator Theresa Marchetta said they came to her door four times, and she learned they don't even have an office in Colorado. Marchetta said the company has seasonal sales workers door-knocking in Douglas County, blatantly ignoring homeowner's wishes. Bryan Peterson is a security professional who lives in the Westridge Glen neighborhood, and he said the tactics Vivint sales people are using, such as ignoring no ...

Students at an Ohio university say they were "blindsided" earlier this week after homophobic messages appeared around campus.Signs advocating for a week of "straight pride" appeared on Ohio's Youngstown State University campus earlier this week. The anonymously posted messages called for students to kick off finals week "by not annoying the shit out of everyone about your sexual orientation," and not "telling everyone how 'different' you are."Smaller text at the bottom of the sign reads: "Brought to you by the students that are sick of hearing about your LGBT pride. Okay. I got two packages of cream cheese. I tried - unsuccessfully - to get sugar free chocolate graham cracker crumbs. So I got Voortman chocolate cookies instead. Got sugar substitutes - no problem there. What I'm gonna do is make a two-layer thing in a spring pan. Bottom layer crust will be mixed with softened butter. That gets lightly baked - till crunchy. On top of that will do half of the cream cheese mixture. This is where I need help. Mid sequence interrupt - Just so we all know what we are doing - Baked chocolate cookie crumb crust on the bottom - Then layer one of the cream cheese mix - Then more (unbaked) chocolate cookie crumbs Then layer Two of the cream cheese mix ...

Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) suggested Thursday that if he let loose wolves in some congressional districts, they wouldnt have a homeless problem anymore. (House Committee on Natural Resources) Alaska Republican Rep. Don Young, famous for his salty tongue and brusque demeanor, suggested Thursday that if he let loose wolves in some congressional districts, they wouldnt have a homeless problem anymore. The strange comment was made during a halting five-minute exchange with Interior Secretary Sally Jewell during a House Natural Resources Committee hearing on her agencys budget. He accused her and her department of making decisions without consulting ...
Shelf Life of Your Food Storage Program
Post Date: 2015-02-24 22:10:45 by Pridie.Nones
Lots of good things from posters about their survival skills concernng "tips" for methods of stalwart strength. I am particulary impressed that one poster drags a cart load of 50,000 primers all over the forum to prove his skills is one known example. This thread is not about bs, however. This thread is about how to store your dried food and grains in a reasonable way so that you are seriously prepared for a disaster. One of the best approaches to food storage is to lower the temperature and ensure extraction of moisture/water + any oxygen content from food packages you intend to within; to ensure adequate capability of over 40 years storage life. As an example, assuming you ...

Father-son duo team up on 700-pound Transylvania County wild hog - North Carolina
Post Date: 2015-01-31 13:27:22 by hondo68
Caswell County hunters really bring home the bacon from hog hunt in mountainsBruce Florence (right) killed this 707.5-pound wild boar last Friday in Transylvania County on a hunt with his son, Jonathan.Jonathan Florence admitted that it was pure luck, but neither he nor his father, Bruce, is about to downplay the hunt last Friday in Transylvania County that ended with Bruce Florence killing a 707 ½-pound wild hog he said could be best described with one word: buffalo. The Florences, who live in southern Caswell County, travelled to North Carolinas mountains last week because one of Bruce Florences friends told him they had on some property plenty of wild ...

All Over America, Government Officials Are Cracking Down On Preppers
Post Date: 2015-01-10 16:03:03 by A K A Stone
Why would the government want to punish people that are just trying to work hard, become more self-sufficient and take care of their families? There are approximately 3 million preppers in the United States today, and often they appear to be singled out for punishment by bureaucratic control freaks that are horrified at the thought that there are families out there that actually want to try to become less dependent on the system. So if you use alternative methods to heat your home, or if you are not connected to the utility grid, or if you collect rainwater on your property, or if you believe that parents should have the ultimate say when it comes to health decisions for their children, you ...
Georgia Man Shoots & Kills Man Who Mistakenly Pulled Into Driveway; Misdemeanor, $500 Fine (Castle Doctrine)
Post Date: 2014-11-22 20:17:27 by hondo68
Georgia Man Shoots and Kills Driver Who Mistakenly Pulled Into His Driveway . . . Allowed To Plead To A Single Misdemeanor With No Jail Time and A $500 Fine There is a surprising plea deal in Georgia this week where Philip Sailors, 69, (left) was accused of responding to Rodrigo Diaz (right) pulling into his driveway by mistake by shooting him in the head and killing him. Sailors has now been allowed to plead out on a single misdemeanor for involuntary manslaughter with no jail time. He was facing a murder charge. Under the plea bargain, Sailors will serve 12-months probation and pay a $500 fine. What is equally striking is that Sailors declined to say a word of apology to the ...
