How To Build a PC
Post Date: 2018-04-04 13:01:11 by Willie Green
10 Comments
Back in the days of dial-up internet, it was commonplace to build your own computer. Instead of walking into a Best Buy or logging onto Dell's website to shop for a complete unit, you'd assemble a desktop PC yourself using standardized, commodity parts purchased either online or at a store specializing in computer components. These days, most consumers have only ever bought pre-fab systems, no assembly required. However, many gamers and computer hobbyists still prefer to roll their own boxes. Doing so means you maintain total control over how the computer turns out, and a successful DIY build is a point of pride. Also, knowing your way around the inside of a PC makes it easier to ...

ATF investigating after Va. congressional candidate saws off AR-15 Getty Images A Virginia Beach schoolteacher running for Congress who posted an online video sawing apart an AR-15 rifle is now under investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to ABC 13 News. Karen Mallard (D) says she destroyed the rifle, the kind used in the Parkland, Fla., school shooting last month, to take "a personal stand for gun safety," and handed the weapon over to the police after filming the video. On Thursday, Virginia Beach Police said they had received the gun and were waiting for it to be picked up by the bureau, which investigates the illegal use of ...

Windows 10 = Maze of Slow, Intrusive Garbage. Need Help in Un-Bloating and Speeding Up [Full Thread]

To you Computer tech-heads, just got a Win 10 HP piece of crap that is running in quicksand. It's not a brand new machine... Firefox is running, but preventing the LF page from opening without permission. Took forever to load youtube as well as all other pages. Have loaded CCleaner and Avast. There seems to be a mountain of bloatware and intrusive programs running in the background. I'm a Win 7 guy, so this is all Greek to me. It's like a selfish Monster has hijacked the machine. The Settings are nothing like the simplicity of Win 7. Very convoluted. How do I take back this machine? And stop the intrusive stuff and updates? Any constructive suggestions are appreciated. ...

6 Card Games Every Man Should Know
Post Date: 2017-11-23 05:31:52 by Deckard

Card games have been around for a long time. They’ve existed in various forms for a millennium, having been invented in the Far East. From there, they came West with trading, and in the 1400s the French solidified the 52-card deck and the four suits — spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds — that we use today. While different cultures and nations use different sets of cards, that system is the most widely used around the world. For literally centuries now, friends, families, and strangers have convened around bar tops, campfires, and dining room tables to play friendly and perhaps not-so-friendly games of cards. The Appeal (and Manliness) of Card Games What is it that makes ...

The universal Rebel and the psy-op to neuter him
Post Date: 2017-11-16 06:23:36 by Deckard

by Jon Rappoport November 14, 2017 If you want to track a civilization as it collapses, watch what happens to the concept of the rebel. From the 1960s onward—starting with Lee Oswald and the assassination of JFK—the whole idea of “the rebel” with power has been sequentially updated and repackaged. This is intentional. The objective is to equate “rebel” with a whole host of qualities—e.g., runaway self-serving paranoia; random destruction; out-of-control drug use; generalized hatred; the commission of crimes… On a lesser, “commercialized” level, the new rebel can define himself by merely showing up at a concert to scream and drink heavily ...

I Predict Trump Will Continue the CIA’s JFK Assassination Cover-Up
Post Date: 2017-10-24 07:05:15 by Deckard

Last Friday, President Trump made the following announcement: I have decided not to block release of the CIA’s remaining JFK-assassination related records except for those records that directly implicate the CIA in the assassination, which will continue to remain secret.” Okay, he didn’t really put it like that. But that’s the potential and likely import of his announcement, which actually read as follows: Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened.” (Italics added.) The operative words, of course, are: “Subject to the receipt of further information….” What is ...

9 Cops Reveal How To Actually Get Out Of A Ticket
Post Date: 2017-09-21 07:14:11 by Deckard

Americans pay somewhere from $3.75 billion to $7.5 billion in traffic citations every year. The average ticket costs $152, including fees, although rates vary substantially depending on the nature of the offense and the laws of the state. In any case, you certainly don't want a citation, so if you see flashing red-and-blue lights in your rearview mirror, you'd better be on your best behavior. iStock Police don't really want to give you a ticket, but it's their job. Fortunately, they're more than willing to help you keep your record clean, provided that you're willing to listen to some common-sense advice. Here are a few ways to improve your chances of driving ...

Swimming trunks! Pair of frantic adult elephants save a calf from drowning in an incredible display of teamwork

A pair of frantic adult elephants saved a drowning calf in an incredible display of teamwork by the gentle giants. The youngster had been standing at the side of a large pool in its enclosure in Grand Park Zoo in Seoul, South Korea, with one of the adult elephants when it slipped and fell into the water. The stunned adult panicked as it watched the infant struggle to keep its mouth and trunk above the surface. But help arrived when a second adult, who had heard the commotion, came rushing to the side of the pool. The pair of adults seemed to communicate silently and decided they would only be able to reach the youngster if they entered the water from the shallow end of the pool. ...

Trump's Dangerous Anti-Libertarian Nationalism
Post Date: 2017-03-01 22:06:53 by Gatlin

Promises to cut domestic regulations or shake up the system do not a tolerable libertarian make. Trump is indeed a major threat to core libertarian values. Ask Ludwig Von Mises. President Donald Trump has signed an executive order claiming that in the future the total number of federal regulations will shrink, via the elimination of two regulations for every new one. He has nominated an FCC chief and a department of education chief who advocate choice-enhancing changes in the way their agencies run. He says he's a hardcore Second Amendment supporter (although he also supports taking away the right to bear arms based on mere suspicion). He's offered up a Supreme Court justice ...

It’s a big day for libertarian history in New Hampshire and nationwide. For the first time in two decades, the Libertarian Party of NH (LPNH) has a sitting state representative in the legislature who is just beginning his first term in office. Caleb Dyer, state representative for Hudson and Pelham, announced today at a press conference in Concord’s Legislative Office Building that he has switched his voter registration from republican to libertarian and has also joined the state party as a dues-paying member. Dyer is a New Hampshire native who knocked on 2,000 doors in his district, Hillsborough 37, to win his election in November of 2016. Here’s the press conference video ...

Just about all bullion investors worry about counterfeits. Those concerns are magnified when someone is buying for the first time. Stories about fake coins from Asia and gold bars drilled and filled with Tungsten have been in the headlines recently. But the truth is, counterfeiting is just about as old as the concept of money itself. Before diving into all the ways that fakes can be detected, the first and best protection is to work with a reputable and knowledgeable dealer such as Money Metals Exchange. Recently voted "Best in the USA," Money Metals has high quality control and internal screening standards, plus it stands behind the metals that it sells to customers. ...

A Male Trump Supporter Punched A Woman Eating Dinner In The Face

A man punched a woman in the face at a popular French restaurant in Brooklyn after she expressed disappointment about the election of President-elect Donald Trump, according to reports from restaurant staff and witnesses. On Saturday night, a 49-year-old woman who has not been publicly identified was at Bar Tabac in Boerum Hill with a female friend. According to Jonas Leon, the manager who was working that night, the two women were discussing the outcome of the election when a man at a nearby table got into an argument with them. The man asked the manager to kick the women out of the restaurant. Instead, Leon moved the man and his dining companion to another table. The man paid for his ...

Team Trump is already filled with Washington insiders

Washington (CNN) To shape his administration, President-elect Donald Trump is drawing squarely from the "swamp" he has pledged to drain. Trump's transition team is staffed with long-time Washington experts and lobbyists from K Street, think tanks and political offices. It's a far cry from Trump's campaign, which ended only Tuesday night, and message that he would "drain the swamp" in Washington. He has advocated congressional term limits and proposed a "five-point plan for ethics reform" that included strengthening restrictions on lobbying, including five-year bans for members and staff of the executive branch and Congress from lobbying, and ...

Trump Could Tap Rudy & Newt for Cabinet Positions

Donald Trump, if he’s elected, could name former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and ex-House Speaker Newt Gingrich to his cabinet, according to a report. NBC News, citing unnamed campaign advisers, reported that Gingrich could be the secretary of state and Giuliani could be named attorney general. Other names considered are retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn for defense secretary and Reince Priebus, the current RNC chairman, as Trump’s chief of staff. “They’re thinking, ‘We need to find that balance between someone who knows how Washington works and someone who shakes things up,'” the senior campaign adviser told the broadcaster. It’s unclear if Priebus is interested ...

Yes, Gary Johnson Could Make It Into the Debates. Here's How. (A step-by-step guide)

A step-by-step guide to how the Libertarian Party nominee might make it onstage. Brian Cahn/ZUMA Press/Newscom Fifteen percent is the magic number Libertarian presidential candidate and former governor Gary Johnson needs to reach to earn his voice in the 2016 election. By capturing the support of 15 percent of voters in national public opinion polls, Johnson could join the major party's presidential candidates on the primetime debate stage. With both Democratic and Republican presidential candidates disliked at historic levels and a rising share of political independents frustrated with the two major parties, this is the year a third-party candidate like Johnson has a realistic chance ...

These Numbers Say A Third Party Can Win The Presidency
Post Date: 2016-05-16 15:11:12 by hondo68

You don’t need a majority, or even a plurality, of electors to win the presidency. Let me explain. For those who were serious about their Never Trump hashtags (or who would have been if they were on Twitter), it’s time to start rallying for a third-party candidate for the 2016 election. A third-party candidate isn’t just a protest against the system, but a viable chance at sparing the country the disaster that would be a Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton presidency. The Historical Precedent for a Third Party Abraham Lincoln (whose accomplishments seem to be completely unknown to the Republican nominee) would take umbrage with those who say a third party can never win. This ...

Mark Twain is credited with saying “figures don’t lie, but liars figure.” If he were around today Twain’s quote might go something like this: “Figures do lie, and liars figure out how to make people believe them.” Granted, not as catchy. But my quote goes a long way toward explaining something that is bothering many political pundits today. President Obama whined last week that he’s not getting enough credit for the economy. Democrats are besides themselves wondering why Americans are so angry that they might be willing to elect Donald Trump president when the official unemployment rate is only 5%, oil prices are near their lowest level in a decade and ...

Curing Cancer with Baking Soda: What MD’s and Naturopaths Don’t Know by Gregory Delaney Wouldn’t the delusional physicians and the big pharmacology swindlers be embarrassed to find that cancer could be cured with nothing more complicated than ordinary baking soda? Well, no, they wouldn’t be embarrassed because they would be outraged. All of their billions in profits vanishing in a twinkle, would not have these betrayers of Mankind at all happy with such a simple cancer cure. And yet, cancer can be cured with nothing more complicated than ordinary baking soda. And I will explain how. While the greedy physicians and the cancer industry robber barons have been ...
