Title: [From 1977] The 116 Planet Earth images NASA wants Aliens to see [Too pretentious, diverse, and anti-West even then?]

When Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 launched into space in 1977, their mission was to explore the outer solar system, and over the following decade, they did so admirably.

With an 8-track tape memory system and onboard computers that are thousands of times weaker than the phone in your pocket, the two spacecraft sent back an immense amount of imagery and information about the four gas giants, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

But NASA knew that after the planetary tour was complete, the Voyagers would remain on a trajectory toward interstellar space, having gained enough velocity from Jupiter's gravity to eventually escape the grasp of the sun. Since they will orbit the Milky Way for the foreseeable future, the Voyagers should carry a message from their maker, NASA scientists decided.

The Voyager team tapped famous astronomer and science popularizer Carl Sagan to compose that message. Sagan's committee chose a copper phonograph LP as their medium, and over the course of six weeks they produced the "Golden Record": a collection of sounds and images that will probably outlast all human artifacts on Earth.

42 years ago, Jimmah Carter was President...

NASA (apparently bored with the Moon) decided to embed a "Time Capsule" into a Voyager space pod on its way to ("orbit[ing] the Milky Way for the foreseeable future." Chyeah, right)

Chosen were ONLY these 116 photos, enclosed on a special record player for potential "Aliens" to discover about "Earth." Chosen to be THE "sound track of "human-kind" is a disturbing and depressing blues track from the 1920s. Figures.

Of further interest: This project gives us insight into the mind-set of the PTB who even back then in 1977 were already thinking "globally" at the expense of attempting to marginalize whites, men, and Western Culture.

Some things purposely NOT mentioned in their "Record of Man" was "Religion" and "God." (remember, NASA let militant secular-human/atheist Carl Sagan control this project.)

It's amazing what NASA and the PTB deemed to be essential knowledge of our world in 1977. Bummer that the Rainbow Flag wasn't packed in this NASA "suitcase." If Aliens ever found this, I'd be embarrassed. And so would this guy:

I'm going to assume that most of us had heard about this project but never seen the contents. Now that I've seen it, it was just another expensive stunt by NASA and the SJWs. Of course NASA would give this tripe to the Leftist VOX to disperse to the pods.

As has been the case since at least 1977, a bunch of liberal-leftist social engineers decided for the rest of us what should define a representation of earth. These were the same people with hopes that alien creatures would somehow stumble upon this satellite and its "prize" in the alleged infinity of space. (AND return to earth "To SERVE MAN".) Wasn't this just Sagan's and their version of sending Santa a letter?

How would you rate the chosen 116 pix (and music)? On a scale of 1-10 I give it -2.

If the human race survives, the alien race most likely to capture the Voyagers will be us humans. At whatever point superior propulsion is developed for space travel, the voyagers will be museum/artifacts that could be visited at will but probably allowed for posterity's sake to continue their slow journey, but any space faring aliens will find us before they'd find those contraptions, at which point we can sheepishly explain why it contains the content it does.

If the human race survives...

Seems as though the clock has ticked way down. Almost out of time according to many (including myself.)

...[T]he alien race most likely to capture the Voyagers will be us humans.

Your premise would actually make for a great script for a Twilight Zone/Outer Limits episode or movie.

IF we were to follow it to a presumed time-travel or Star Trek-like "Warp-Speed" via "superior propulsion," the Voyager traveling at the mentioned 35k per hour would simply just become a floating interstellar museum relic, wouldn't it?

If we allow ourselves to more imaginary license, it might be 50/50 whether the aliens who find our "profile" would use it as "free intel" to enslave (or eat us.) Again...might make for a good sci-fi book or script. Especially these days.

I think at *this* point we are already straining to explain what and why the contents are what they are :-)
